This candidate must live in Eastern or Central time zones and be able to accommodate daily 7 AM EST calls with our team in Bangalore, India.
Position Overview:
The Technical Writer will create and update RQIP platforms documentation, knowledgebase, and training materials to meet the business needs of organization to enable and empower internal teams, partners, and customers.
Position Holder is Accountable For:
Ensuring accurate gathering and analysis of technical and product information from multiple sources to support documentation of new or updated product features.
Maintaining up‑to‑date technical and non‑technical materials—including manuals, guides, training content, and other documentation—for web‑based platforms.
Facilitating effective collaboration with technical development and product teams to document software platform issues and ensure clarity across stakeholders.
Accurately documenting solutions and workarounds and assessing their applicability for both technical and business audiences.
Contributing to the creation and maintenance of organizational system guidelines and manuals.
Delivering training to internal and external users of customer‑facing systems to ensure effective system adoption and use.
Developing training materials such as videos, screen captures, written documents, knowledge‑base articles, and other formats to support user learning.
Partnering with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to create high‑quality content when needed.
Serving as an expert or designated subject matter expert for assigned RQIP platforms, integrations, and business processes.
Translating complex technical information into clear, concise documentation and customer‑appropriate communications.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in English, writing, communications or similar field. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree for otherwise highly qualified candidates.
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a technical writer or a related job role.
Strong skills in creating process documentation, training materials, and technical content.
Excellent English writing, editing, and communication skills.
Experience with topic‑based authoring tools (e.g., Paligo) and template‑driven content creation.
Proficiency in MS Word for large, structured documents.
Experience developing knowledge‑base or wiki content.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and work collaboratively across teams.
Ability to work early‑morning EST hours and travel domestically several times per year.
Understanding of the software development lifecycle; experience with Agile or cloud-based products is required.
Experience using AI tools to create digital media deliverables preferred.
Experience developing instructional content for learning management systems preferred.
Experience with Jira or confluence preferred.
The estimated annual base salary for this position is $80,000 to $85,000. Please note that this range does not include any other compensation or benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, level of education attained, and/or professional certifications, years of relevant experience, special skills, etc.
